Vinyl siding is sold in a variety of colors, textures and shapes.  It can either replace existing exterior siding or be installed over older siding.

The wide variety of vinyl siding systems includes horizontal and vertical siding; traditional clapboard and authentically detailed "shaped" sidings; wide and narrow panel exposures; and smooth, subtle and deep wood grain textures.  Most of these are available in a  wide assortment of traditional and contemporary colors.

Wood Siding
Wood siding adds a rich, natural look to a home.  It is made from a variety of wood species, including cedar, pine, spruce, redwood and cedar.

Cedar is a good choice for exterior building applications because of its appearance and durability. Cedar is naturally resistant to decay and insect damage. Red cedar and white cedar are both popular depending on the application.  The relatively new panelized cedar clapboards make cedar siding easier to install, more affordable for the owner, and more profitable for the contractor.

A good wood siding installation should last for many, many years if it is properly maintained. Proper maintenance includes power washing, staining and sealing when the sun and the elements fade the finish, or mold or mildew occur.
