The Stimulus Bill

On February 17, 2009, The Stimulus Bill (The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) was signed into law. It made some significant changes to the energy efficiency tax credits available to homeowners and extended funding for Federal & local construction projects. Below is a quick overview on how you can benefit from the Stimulus Bill.

Tax Credits For Consumers:
A significant, immediate benefit of the ARRA is the Energy-Efficient Home Improvements Tax Credit. This tax credit, equal to up to 30% of all costs incurred by the taxpayer, up to $1500, for energy-efficient home improvements, such as installation of energy-efficient windows, doors and insulation, is being made available now to those who qualify.
